Produce prep; a healthy eater’s secret weapon
One of the best tips anyone ever gave me when I was starting to clean up my diet was to wash* and prep all my produce as soon as I bought it.
Of all the tips and shortcuts, this has had the most profound effect on the way I eat today.
Try it out, and next time you’re reaching into the fridge for a handful of grapes, or throwing together a quick salad for lunch, ask yourself if you’d be doing the same thing if everything wasn’t already washed and ready to go.
*I use a sink full of water with some baking soda and a splash of vinegar to get all the crud off my produce.
